Capital gains on investments made through an Opportunity Fund accrue tax-free provided the investor stays invested in the fund for over 10 years.
Nope! The tax benefits apply even if you do not live or work in an Opportunity Zone. To take advantage of them, you simply have to invest in a Qualified Opportunity Fund and choose to defer the tax on those gains.
